CHPD also organized Operation Holiday Cheer! The community nominated families in need of a little extra help this year and with the support of our generous donors, the PD was able to sponsor 22 families this year! The POA adopted one and was able to help a mother of two out for the holidays.

On  the morning of 12/19/2024, families came to City Hall and were able to pick up their presents and Christmas dinner (food boxes).

Later that afternoon, CHPD officers, command staff, professional staff, volunteers, and Sac Metro Fire Dept made a caravan delivering presents to three families in need. Santa and his wife came too to bring cheer and pass out presents.

The caravan ended at 7500 Greenback Dr, Manor apartments, where we met with all the children in the complex to pass out presents and holiday cheer.

It was an amazing day of giving back and supporting the community.
